FII inflows at Rs 5,900 crore for the year as on February 22

Mumbai, Feb 25: The total inflows by foreign institutional investors (FIIs) for the year as on February 22, 2001 has reached Rs 5,900 crore. Gross purchases were at Rs 14,254.6 crore, while gross sales were at Rs 8,354.6 crore.For the week ended February 22, 2001, FIIs were net buyers with total investments of Rs 481.8 crore against Rs 970.6 crore for the week ended February 15, 2001. They were net buyers in equity with investments of Rs 502.5 crore and net sellers in debt with outflows of Rs 18.7 crore. For the month till February 22, 2001, FIIs were net buyers with total investments of Rs 1,626.7 crore. Mutual Funds (MF) were net sellers for the month till February 22, 2001 with outflows of Rs 804.63 crore. For the week ended February 22, 2001, MFs were net sellers with total outflows of Rs 106.80 crore against Rs 365.73 crore last week. They were net sellers in equities with outflows of Rs 282.46 crore and net buyers in debt with inflows of Rs 175.66 crore.
