Meranet set to mergewith public enterprise

Mumbai : Meranet.com is in the midst of a merger with a public limited enterprise. Speaking to eFE, Dr Raj Malik, co-founder, Meranet.com, confirmed this but was unwilling to name the company just yet. He also confirmed the fact that two of the company's co-founders - Mr Y Deodhar and Mr Kamal Agarwal, both from the last batch of IIM Ahmedabad, are actively exploring opportunities outside Meranet. While sources say that the two promoters are actually in the process of joining multinational firms, Mr Malik said that while it is true that both of them are looking at opportunities outside the company, options for them at Meranet were still open post the merger.As things stand however, the company will be managed by a team belonging to the partner with whom Meranet is planning a merger according to Dr Malik.
