ZILS offers broadband-based learning system

New Delhi : Zee Interactive Learning Systems (ZILS) has launched its broadband-based interactive learning technology system. The company is pumping in Rs 15 crore during this fiscal to set up about 100 centres in the first phase. ZILS CEO and president Uma Ganesh told reporters at the launch of the learning system here on Friday night that an estimated one lakh students would be able to benefit from this technology in the first year of operations. The system would be implemented over three phases. Elaborating on the technology, Ms Ganesh said that the system operates through a dedicated VSAT nmetwork provided by DVB over IP multicast technology. The technology enables interactive management system which will help the students see, hear and speak to the expert live. The technology has been provided by Essel Shyam Cummunications Ltd. The system has been conceived as a convergence platform which integrates video and television with interactive capability of Internet.
