He has been healing and rejuvenating others with the magic of the crystal since his childhood. With its powers, he scans the aura of his client to eliminate the pain and suffering. And, finally, he flicks the bad energy into a bowl of salt water. Meet Master Choa Kok Sui, the self-proclaimed founder of modern day pranic healing. Now, in his late 80s, he still gleams with vigor and vitality.Master Choa claims neither to be a clairvoyant nor was he born with any magical healing abilities. His strong interest in esoteric sciences made him spent more than 18 years researching and studying books and literature on the subject. "At a very young age, I was very interested in yoga, psychic phenomena, mysticism, Chinese ki kung (the art of generating internal power) and other such sciences," he recalls. And he slowly developed the art of pranic healing. "During my lifetime, I've had close association with yogis, healers, clairvoyants and a few extraordinary persons who are in telepathy with their spiritual gurus." Many of his advanced healing techniques and concepts were taught to him by his teacher Mei Ling.
He pursued pranic healing as he was drawn by it. "I suppose it was destined to happen to me. Ever since my childhood, I wanted to uplift the suffering of humanity and that is what I am doing now." He no longer remembers when he acquired his healing powers, and all he says is that it has been many years now.
Despite being a chemical engineer and successful businessman this Filipino of Chinese descent always took out time for pranic healing. "Now, I have retired myself from all my responsibilities and I am completely devoted to pranic healing," he says. According to him, "Pranic heeling uses the subtle energy, prana, to bring about the rapid healing of the body. By projecting prana into the body, it accelerates the healing process."
Increased consciousness about health and healthy lifestyles has pushed allopathy to the backburner, he says. People prefer the newly re-discovered alternatives to cure ailments, he feels. Though both reiki and pranic healing are two of the most-sought after modalities today, the Master shows partiality to pranic healing. "Reiki doesn't teach the principle of cleansing and scanning, but it forms a very essential part of pranic healing. It's only after cleansing that the healing can be effective," Master Choa explains. According to him, reiki is good, but if you wish to develop your skills further, then you should learn pranic healing.
Pranic healing has surely changed Master Choa's life. Though it has made him calm and serene, his life has become all the more tough and busy. "I have to be always on the move, healing people and trying to meet their expectations," he says. But, the one thing that gives him immense satisfaction is that fact that he is able to lessen the agony of his patients.
Pranic healing is a panacea, he says. "It is advantageous for everyone to learn pranic healing especially for parents since it is very fast and effective in treating simple and severe ailments such as arthritis, asthma, eyes, heart problems, migraine, cold and cough, gas pain, body aches as well as psychological ailments," he says.
To learn pranic healing, Master Choa says, all one needs is the willingness to heal.
