Ancent Software in pact with Cummins Auto

Pune: Ancent Software International Ltd has just signed up with Cummins Auto Services, a newly formed subsidiary of Cummins India to provide solutions for the proposed network of light and heavy commercial vehicles. Cummins Auto is planning to link up a network of auto service stations for light and heavy commercial vehicles. Apart from automating the service stations a smart card based solution will be offered for preventive maintenance of vehicles and tracking the servicing schedule. Ancent will be working with Cummins on this project. Ancent is a Hyderabad-based company with its development centre in Pune. It has packaged software for automobile service and parts distribution system and an integrated hospital management system for the healthcare industry. "We are targeting a turnover of around Rs 8.5 crore in two years," Rohit Reddy, CEO & director of Ancent, said. Ancent is also planning to take these products to the global market. "Ancent already has an MoU with StrataQuest, San Jose, US, and isexecuting a number of projects for this company and we are keen on cementing this relationship," Mr Reddy said. Ancent is now planning to pick up equity in StrataQuest. The company has just launched Evalue Consulting - an operations consulting service in the domains of costing, quality, manufacturing technology, HR and business process re-engineering for the SME segment - in India.
