Mumbai, March 13 : English luxury goods major - Alfred Dunhill Ltd - has tied up with retail company, Ravissant, to open the first Alfred Dunhill boutique in Mumbai at The Oberoi Hotel.The company has launched a complete range of apparel for men which comprises the `Spring Summer 2001' collection. In addition, the range of accessories include - Facet Square Watch, Baby Facet 2000 Watch, AD2000 And AD1000 Pens, London Traveller Structure Case with Rolling System, Unique Turbo Sports Lighter, Dunhill's Motoring Coats, Dunhill's Fitted Car Trunk, Dashboard Clock - 1906 and Namiki Brush Set.
According to Alfred Dunhill Ltd director Mark Dunhill: "Ravissant would be operating the boutiques for the company. The opening of this boutique in Mumbai represents an important step in our plans to establish Alfred Dunhill as the leading luxury brand for men in India."
Added Mr Dunhill: "India represents one of the fastest growing economies in Asia with a growing amount of affluence and international exposure among its people. In addition, retailing in India will build business for us in the years to come. Therefore, for the first time, we are able to present a key range of Alfred Dunhill products and provide our Indian customers with the kind of luxury shopping they deserve." As regards marketing strategies, said Mr Dunhill: "The company aims to develop a customer relationship and also plans to set up an additional five franchisee-owned Alfred Dunhill boutiques across major cities this year." Currently, Alfred Dunhill is in the process of developing its wholesale distribution of watches, pens, lighters and leather accessories in Mumbai through leading jewellery and watch retailers." While Alfred Dunhill already has one showroom in New Delhi, in Ravissant, it plans to further expand its presence in New Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore.
