KN Bhandari, (59) has taken over as the chairman & managing director of the largest non-life company New India Assurance. He was earlier heading the Chennai-based United India Insurance. He is also the chairman of Gipsa, the coordinating body for the four state owned non-life companies.Banks will not close branches after VRS
