`India can sustain 7% growth rate'

New Delhi, April 3: The Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific (Escap) 2001 has said that India could sustain a 7 per cent economic growth rate during 2001-03. The Survey, however, warned that high public debt may push up interest rates.The Escap 2001 Survey predicted that Indian economy, expected to grow by 6.9%next year and 7.2%t in 2003.
