Bangalore, April 3: As part of its plans to expand its service portfolio, Ambit Corporate Finance Pte Ltd is set to structure its service aimed at the capital market space into a focussed line of business. In line with this strategy, Ambit is now looking at bridging the advisory role and the public play in the capital markets, by leading IPO's of companies in the SME sector.Speaking to The Financial Express, the company's vice-president Kiranbir Nag said that this initiative was not a totally new service for the company but it was aimed at extended focus and streamlining in this segment."All this while it was a low profile activity, we will now have one senior person dedicated to develop this service," Mr Nag said. As part of its overall growth plans, tapping new emerging segments will be the key strategy. "In the Mumbai region, we are extensively focused on advisory services for M&As and privatisation initiatives in the banking sector. In the south, we will tap emerging sectors like retailing (food and non-food besides IT," he added. Copyright © 2001 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
