Thousands of people are still in relief camps and most of them are not even in a position to claim the identified bodies as they had no where to take them for a decent burial.

The government, with the help of Alappad Panchayat, is making arrangements to bury about 60 bodies in the afternoon, official sources said.

Rescue workers are making last ditch efforts to take out bodies from the debris of devastation and the terrain left slushy by sea waters.
