“This was during the launch of The Myth in China” a visibly excited Mallika tells us. “I was in the green room, getting ready for the evening when some Chinese girls caught my eye. They were sporting bright, loud makeup” she recollects.

”Now this was a big night for me and I wanted to be supercool. So without giving it a second thought, I asked my makeup artist Chang Lou to do the same for me. The stubby guy warned me against it, but I kept pestering him until he caved” she smiles. “The next I know is that I have my lips painted orange…!” she exclaims.

'Orange?', we squirm. “Yes! And wait it isn't done yet, my eye shadow is green in color along with 3 layers of thick foundation! That completed my horrendous look for the event,” the sexpot laughs. “All set, I checked myself one last time in the mirror. Must admit, the colors did feel a bit garish but I told myself that 'Hey Mallika, you look just like the rest' and stepped into the lobby. I spotted Jackie who was escorting one of the guests. As I approached him, he looked my way and gave a loud shriek…!”

“Have to tell you guys, I have never seen Jackie like that. The guy looked almost terrified” she guffaws. “He whisked me away from the crowd and took me into the restroom. All the while we walked through the hotel lobby, I kept asking what was wrong but he said nothing. On reaching the restroom he yanks me and yells, 'What have you done to yourself? There is no way I am letting the world see the horror story that you look right now! Scrub every peel of that stuff on your face, so that the cameras don't crack!' he screamed and left. “I was a little down & upset with what had happened. I stood there numb with my head hung for a couple of minutes. Later I took a hard look at myself in the mirror and burst out laughing…He wasn't all that wrong, I could have easily passed of as a local clown!”
