The meeting, their second in 2005, will be followed by the Prime Minister’s address to the UN General Assembly, Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran said.

Asked if issues like cross-border terrorism will be soft-pedalled, he said, “I don’t think we are soft-pedalling this issue or that. It was for the two leaders to decide what issues to be discussed. They will focus on issues of concern to them”.

Sources said that the Prime Minister will be hosting dinner for Musharraf possibly at the same hotel where Singh would be putting during his stay in New York. They had last met in Delhi in April when Musharraf had come to last ODI cricket match between India and Pakistan.
