Samajwadi Party suspends Raj Babbar

Raj Babbar New Delhi, Fenruary 7: The Parliamentary Board of Samajwadi Party has suspended actor-turned politician Raj Babbar.

The politician had been under the scanner for criticising party general secretary Amar Singh and demanding his removal.

During an interview Raj Babbar has said, "Amar Singh represents the broker culture. I definitely want the removal of this face from the legacy left behind by Choudhary Charan Singh and Ram Manohar Lohia and ably carried forward by Mulayam Singh Yadav."

Talking to the media, after news of his suspension came in, he said, "I am suspended for criticising the SP. I will go to people on issues I raised within SP."
