Back in the metropolis after receiving the award last Saturday, Shaan said he was extremely elated to have won the prestigious award.

“I felt tanha dil, from the album of the same name, was especially nice and deserving of the award but I also thank my lucky stars and voters, who felt the same way too. It was thrilling to see the extremely positive and cheerful reaction abroad to my winning the award,” he said.
