"Law will take its own course. It is wrong to say he is involved. There is no evidence," Choudhary said when asked about her opinion on the dowry harassment case registered against the Union HRD Minister and his family members.

She pointed out that Singh has also clarified that his opinion was not sought for the marriage of his grandson Abhijeet Singh with Priyanka.

The minister had also said that he did not even attend the wedding.

"It is wrong to involve him. I object to this exploitation of the law. It is wrong to misuse the law. The law is for those who need it," she said, adding that people do misuse the Anti-Dowry Act.

She also clarified that she is not taking side of the minister because he is her Cabinet colleague.

A case under Anti-Dowry Act has been registered against Singh, his wife Beena Singh, son Abhimanyu Singh, grandson Abhijeet Singh and three others at a police station in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.
