Major reshuffle in J&K

JAMMU, May 1: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir
Government today transferred 26 senior civil and police officers. The
reshuffle was effected to tone up administrative machinery in the state,
officials said.
Amit Kushari, principal secretary, administrative reforms and inspection
(ARI), has been appointed chairman, J and K tribunal. Iqbal Khandey is the
new secretary, ARI.
Anil Goswami will take over as secretary, tourism, and S S Kapoor, on his
return from foreign training, secretary, agriculture.
G D Wadhwa, Jammu divisional commissioner, is the new secretary, summer
secretariat, while B S Jamwal, registrar cooperatives, has been made
divisional commissioner, Jammu.
Mohammd Amin takes over as labour commissioner while R K Handa, MD, Agro
Industries Corporation, has been posted vice-chairman, Jammu development
authority.
Five other civil officers, including four chief engineers, have been
transferred and two retired officers re-employed.
