Wassan triumphs

May 1: Delhi Ranji paceman Atul Wassan won the Raju More Single Wicket
Cricket Tournament defeating Vadodara southpaw Atul Bedade by 29 runs to
annex the Bindu Madhav Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25,000 at the MIG Club,
Bandra, here, today.
Wassan was also richer by Rs 5,000 for raking up the highest score and
scoring the most number of sixes in an innings.
Earlier in the semis, Bedade beat Amit Pagnis (56-40) while Wassan upstaged
Amit Dani (83-30). Wassan while scoring 83 in the semi-finals hit eight
sixes.
Test discards Vinod Kambli and Sanjay Manjrekar and former India stars
Sandeep Patil and Chandrakant Pandit failed to impress losing in the first
round itself.
