KINSHASA, May 7: Some 200 Zairean civilians and 100 government soldiers have
been killed in heavy fighting for control of Kenge, east of Kinshasa, aid
agency sources reported today. Reports reaching Medecins Sans Frontieres
(MSF -- doctors without orders) today said street fighting was continuing in
the town 200 kms east of the capital.
London blasts
LONDON: Two petrol bomb blasts have been reported from Asian-dominated west
London areas here in what police describes as further escalation in the
long-running feud between Muslims and Sikh ``youth gangs''. The petrol bomb
attacks, which the police suspected were ``inter-linked'', took place
yesterday when unidentified persons firebombed a semi-detached house being
used as a mosque at 1.30 am in Hounslow central area.

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court today sentenced V Ramakrishna Gowd, who had claimed
to have married Priyanka Gandhi, to five years and two years rigorous
imprisonment (RI) and a fine of Rs 10,000 for fabricating documents and
giving false affidavit in the court. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Prem
Kumar who had passed the conviction order on Monday, said both the sentences
would run concurrently.
