EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

MUMBAI, May 13: Central Railway's suburban services and long-distance trains were disrupted following the derailment of two bogies of the Hyderabad-Mumbai Express on Tuesday afternoon just outside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST).

Nobody was injured in the mishap, which happened at 2.58 p.m. It disrupted local as well as long-distance traffic for more than three hours. The Mumbai-Kolhapur Sahyadri Express, scheduled to leave the CST at 3 p.m., was delayed by more than four hours while the bogies were cleared from the track.Officials said the train was entering the station and negotiating a track change when two of its bogies jumped the rails.

Meanwhile, a technical snag near Mankhurd upset the schedule of trains on the Harbour line all day long. They were running late by more than an hour.
