Globetrotting -- Earthquake jolts parts of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, May 14: A strong earthquake shook north-western Pakistan and Afghanistan resulting in the collapse of flimsy mud houses, and death of an old man and injures to 10 people, including five children, officials and news reports said today. The temblor caused cracks in mud-and-stone houses in remote northerwestern areas including Swat, Chitral and Dera Ismail Khan, but no casualties were reported. A degree at 104 years LONDON: Molly Maxwell celebrated her 104th birthday on Tuesday with a special present, a degree from Cambridge University 80 years late. Maxwell was at the University during World War I and took her final exams in 1917. But the ancient University's rules then permitted only male graduates, so she was awarded a certificate and not a degree. ``It is very important, but I don't know what I am going to do with it now,'' she said, in her retirement home in North London.
