Vice Presidents can now retire to a pension
Surprising as it may seem in this land of freebies, the Vice President of India does not get a pension. But the Lok Sabha rectified this by passing a bill assuring future Vice Presidents of a pension, accommodation for life, free air and rail travel and a host of other benefits.

CII chief worried over impact of lawlessness on industries
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is preparing a detailed position paper on the law and order situation in different parts of the country with a special focus on its impact on various industries. The CII branches in different states would try to anticipate outbreaks of violence and even take precautionary steps wherever possible.
