Tendulkar leads India to victory

Sachin Tendulkar's explosive brilliance made the New Zealand target easy meat for India in the Pepsi Independence Cup cricket fixture at the Chinnaswamy Stadium yesterday. With the opening stand of 165 runs with Saurav Ganguly who hit 62, the home team made the required to make 221 in 50 overs and won the game for the loss of just two wickets.

Muster follows Sampras, Chang

Defending champion Thomas Muster tumbled out of the Italian Open second round here yesterday in a shock 7-6 (7/4), 5-7, 7-5 victory for Australian underdog Scott Draper.
