Traffic diverted for Mohurram

MUMBAI, May 17: A scheduled procession for Mohurram on Sunday, May 18, is likely to affect the movement of traffic at Sir J J Road, I R Road, Mohammad Ali Road and Crawford Market between 2 pm and 7 pm, a Traffic Police release said.

While the main procession crosses I R Road from west to east from Pakmodia Street and Yakub Street to reach J J junction and further proceed along Ramchandra Bhat Marg, the vehicular traffic along Sir J J Road, Mohammed Ali Road upto Crawford Market would be diverted totally. The motorists are advised by the Traffic Police Department to take up following routes for south/north movements - a) Those wanting to go to south should turn right at Khada Parsi junction towards Nagpada junction and turn right to Bomen Behram Marg, Mumbai Central junction left turn to Dr D B Marg and further to south.

b)Those wanting to go to north from Crawford market should turn right at Chakala junction along Carnac Road (L T Marg) Carnac Bunder Junction, P D'Mello Road towards Dockyard or turn left at Sitaram building, Dr D N road, L T marg, Dhobi Talao and further via J S S Road (Girgaon Road) or M Karve Road (Queen's Road).
