HLL Gist JV for Yeast

Hindustan Lever (HLL) plans to promote a joint venture company, `Lever Gist Brocades Pvt' in technical and financial collaboration with Gist Brocades International BV, a 100% subsidiary of Royal Gist Brocades incorporated in the Netherlands, for the manufacture of fresh yeast at a suitable location in Maharashtra.

HSBC predicts 9% industrial growth

Increased purchasing power in the hands of consumers, as a result of the recent tax cuts and the implementation of the 5th Pay Commission, will give a fillip to industrial growth in the current year. While quantifying the extent of the increase in disposable income, the latest quarterly report from HSBC B&K (part of the HSBC investment bank), also states that increased agricultural incomes will boost demand substantially.

`RBI for insurance to CRB investors'

The RBI has agreed to extend insurance cover for small depositors in finance companies demanded by the five-member BJP delegation led by the party general-secretary Promod Mahajan to protect the interest of small depositors in the CRB Capital Markets Ltd. Kirith Somiya, BJP MLA, who has been spearheading the CRB investors agitation claimed that the RBI has accepted three demands made by the delegation.
