Strict code vital for company growth: FM
Union finance minister P Chidambaram yesterday said the surest way to make companies the engine of growth is by having stringent compliance and disclosure norms, while addressing a national seminar on company law organised by the CII.

Cabinet nod for LNG option today
The proposal for a joint venture consortium between four oil and gas public sector companies for import of LNG (liquefied natural gas) has been expedited following delay and uncertainty over import of natural gas through pipelines from Oman and Iran to India. The LNG option, which was mooted barely a year ago, will come up for Cabinet approval today.
