In brief -- Srinath undergoes surgery in S Africa

BANGALORE: Javagal Srinath has undergone arthroscopic surgery in South Africa for his troublesome shoulder, according to Dr Thomas Chandy, orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Hosmat, a reputed hospital for treatment of sports injuries, here.

``I had advised Srinath to undergo physiotherapy and there was a 50-50 chance of his recovering through this method of treatment, failing which operation was inevitable. I had told him that the recovery process would be slow, but it needed continuous commitment from him so that he would not miss even one session,'' Dr Chandy toldThe Indian Express today.
