Crime Watch -- Dacoity in Andheri

MUMBAI, June 15: Dacoits broke into a flat at Andheri and escaped with jewellry worth Rs 2,56,000 on Thursday. The police said Vinay Jain Verma, a residentnof Angarli Building, Old Nagardas Road, Andheri left for office on Thursday . When he returned home, he found the latch broken . It was later discovered that the dacoits had broken the cupboard lock before escaping with the booty. The Andheri police are yet to identify the culprits. Youth stabbed Tilak Nagar police are investigating the death of a youth who after being stabbed was left to die on the railway tracks of Chembur on Thursday. Veera Shankar, 28, was stabbed several times before his body was kept on the tracks between Tilak Nagar and Chembur station at around 8.30 pm on Thursday. He suffered multiple stabs on the head, chest and back, said the police. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries. Body found The body of an unidentified woman was found near Navjeevan Society, Kurla East, on Thursday. Between 19 and 22 years of age, she was wearing a green salwar kameez at the time of her death.
