ANZ Investment Bank has stated that American investors had large apetite for long-maturity debt instruments of the Indian public sector enterprises and financial institutions. The focus will on the in oil and power sectors, to raise debt at a 10 to 20 year maturity window.

IFCI to overhaul lending policy

In a major overhaul of its lending policy, the Industrial Finance Corporation of India has decided to focus on established clients and corporates with sound track records. The institution has also identified large and high growth industrial segments to which the loans would be targetted.

Texmaco sells Chenab Textile

Texmaco Ltd, the KK Birla flagship, has decided to sell Chenab Textile Mill at Kathua in Jammu to group company Sutlej Industries Ltd. The mill is being run by Sutlej Industries, having been leased out by Texmaco for Rs 72 lakh a year.
