HC holds AIADMK rebels' meet invalid

The Madras High Court declared invalid the rival general council meeting convened by the expelled AIADMK leader, S Thirunavakkarasu, held in Chennai, June 3 last. Justice S S Subramani held that Thirunavakkarasu had no authority to convene the general council meeting.

Maharashtra Cabinet meet in Nagpur today

The State Cabinet meeting will be held today. The meeting will take stock of what is being done to elevate Vidarbha out of its miseries. Since the CM, Deputy CM and others will be present for the ceremony today, it was decided to give the congregation the shape of a `Cabinet meeting.'
