Rs 900 cr WB aid for Karnataka road repairs
BANGALORE, June 17: The World Bank will provide a sum of Rs 900 crore for repair and maintanence of 13 roads stretching about 3,000 km in Karnataka according to Udasi, the State PWD Minister. The improvised roads and transport system will lead to economic development of the region, he said.
The National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development has provided loans amounting Rs 250 crore for the purpose and efforts are on to rope in another Rs 150 crore.
