CHENNAI, June 20: Defending champions Netherlands face Korea in the opening match of the 19th Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament for men scheduled to be held at Adelaide, Australia, from Oct 11-19 this year.

According to a fax message from Federation Internationale de Hockey (FIH) here this morning, hosts Australia take on Spain in the second match. World Cup holders and runner-up at the last edition of the Champions Trophy at Madras last December, Pakistan, meet Germany on the first day, Oct 11.

THE SCHEDULE

Oct 11: Netherlands vs Korea, Australia vs Spain, Pakistan vs Germany.

Oct 12: Spain vs Korea; Germany vs Netherlands; Australia vs Pakistan.

Oct 13: Rest day.

Oct 14: Korea vs Pakistan, Australia vs Germany.

Oct 15: Netherlands vs Spain, Germany vs Korea.

Oct 16: Pakistan vs Spain; Netherlands vs Australia.

Oct 17: Rest day.

Oct 18: Spain vs Germany, Pakistan vs Netherlands, Korea vs Australia.

Oct 19: 5th & 6th places, 3rd & 4th places and 1st & 2nd places.
