CHENNAI, June 20: The four lane traffic system introduced during the AIADMK government is to be revamped. According to the new system, two-wheelers and auto-rickshaws are to ply on the extreme right lane and cars and light motor vehicles would be allowed to move in the middle lane. Buses will ply on the extreme left. In a bid to reduce the traffic on Anna Salai, long-distance state tansport corporation buses would be asked to take Kamarajar Salai in both the directions, according to the City Police Commissioner, V K Rajagopalan.
