CALCUTTA, June 23: Describing the response to his Swarna Jayanti Rath and his journey through West Bengal as gratifying, BJP president L.K. Advani said the tacit understanding between the Left and the Congress in the State to forge a pro-establishment political alliance stood exposed. Speaking to newspersons at a press conference here today, Advani said that it was because of this ``understanding'' that the BJP still didn't have even a single elected member to either the Assembly or Parliament from the State.Advani said that in states like West Bengal and Kerala, people were tired of the political double-standards practised by the Left and the Congress and that they were looking for a change. Earlier, speaking at a meeting, Advani said the BJP would launch a mass movement to mobilise public support for the repeal of Article 370 and to complete the integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India. .``We cannot trust a week Government at the Centre, buying its days on the mercy of the Left and the Congress, and a sensitive issue like Kashmir would not be left to this week-kneed Government,'' Advani said in the meeting. During the press conference, the BJP president reiterated his party's stand saying ``we would not allow the clock to be turned back on the issue of Kashmir''.
