Ramesh's debut in over-35 event

WIMBLEDON, June 23: After giving up serious tennis about five years ago, Ramesh Krishnan returns to not-so-serious tennis, when he debuts in the over-35 doubles event, beginning by the end of the first week, here.Ramesh, who would be one of the youngest players in the senior event, will be partnering former Briton No 1 Jeremy Bates.

Meanwhile, the No 1 Indian, Leander Paes has moved to 103, according to the latest rankings released today. He has gained seven spots from his previous week's ranking of 110.

He had won a round at Queen's and the Rosemalen tournament in Holland.Mahesh Bhupathi is ranked 276. In the doubles, Bhupathi is ranked two spots above Paes at 53.
