CHENNAI, June 22: The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University here is to offer India's first MD course in transfusion medicine, starting 1997-98. The step is important in the light of the need for safety in blood transfusions and blood products. Currently, experts in clinical pathology fill in for transfusion experts.
