CHENNAI, June 22: Chennai Telephones is actively persuing efforts to computerise operations that affect subscribers, now that prices of computers have stabilised. It also plans to introduce a Commercial On-Line system on a test basis in the South-East area. The system, aiming at introducing simplicity and ease in the booking of telephones and other transactions, is part of a national project being undertaken by the Department of Telecommunications.
