CHENNAI, June 22: The Tamil Nadu Health Secretary, S Ramakrishnan, has underlined the need for the cooperation of medical professionals if government was to succeed in its task of promoting safe use of blood and blood products. He said government was planning to start a joint sector project for blood products, which would ease the supply position in regard to immunoglobulin and other products. Ramakrishnan inaugurated the Tamil Nadu chapter of the INdian Society for Blood Transfusion and Immunohaemateology.
