Short corner -- Great Escape set for July 20

Mahindra and Mahindra will hold the sixth Great Escape on July 20.The location for the event organised by Sportscraft and co-sponsored by Brightland Hotel will be Mahableshwar.

Only four-wheel drive (4x4) vehicles will be permitted to participate and entries will be permitted to 35.

BCA Rapid chess

The Bombay Chess Association will conduct an open Rapid chess tournament from July 1 at the Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Canteen, Sayani Road.The event will be a 7-8 round Swiss League with 25 minutes given to each player and will played in the evenings.

Entries will be accepted along with Rs 100 fee by Association secretary DB Pulekar on or before June 30 at the venue between 6.00 and 9.00 p.m.
