June 25: Savitri Agro Research Foundation has declared a gallantry award of Rs 5000 to sub-inspector Satish Mayekar for displaying courage in saving the life of a stranger. On June 17, while on duty, Mayekar reportedly risked his life to save a person who was being brutally attacked by three hoodlums. The Foundation has declared the award as a token of appreciation of his services and to encourage other policemen in future to act selflessly.

The one-day course on Understanding and Applying Internet Concepts will be held at Ghatkopar, Opera House, Andheri and Kandivli from June 26 to June 29. A Novell's certificate will be awarded to the candidate at the end of the module.
