Power cut on low tension consumers withdrawn
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
BANGALORE, July 1: The Karnataka electricity board has from today withdrawn the power cut on low tension consumers following reasonably good inflows to the major hydel reservoirs in the State. The board announced late last night that the cut on high tension consumers would however continue with the cut reduced to 20 per cent from 50 per cent on energy and the demand cut brought down to 10 per cent from the existing 25 per cent. The board also withdrew the load shedding of both urban and rural feeders and the restrictions on use of energy during the peak hours of 6 pm to 10 pm by the low tension consumers. It however continued the restrictions on high tension industries on use of energy during the peak period. Copyright © 1997 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
