Speakers meet in Banglore

[Details] Speakers of Legislative Assemblies and Council of the southern States of AP, TN, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Goa will meet at Bangalore in August to decide on a venue for the next sports and cultural programmes for legislators. The ojective of the programme was to promote better understanding among legislators of different parties and region.

[Details] Union human resource development minister S R Bommai, who has been trying to broker a compromise between the two rival Janata Dal factions, has indicated that he may not vote in the poll for party president today.
