Security men seizw arms in Tripura AGARTALA: Para-military forces deployed in the disturbed Taidu Police Station areas of the West Tripura district today recovered two rifles and two wireless sets after an encounter with the militants of the All Tripura Tribal Force (ATTF), police said. The encounter took place when the ultras fired upon the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police, while they were approaching for conducting a joint raid in a militant hideout near Kashichandrapada. Manipur bandh tomorrow IMPHAL: Four Naga organisations have called for a 24-hour bandh in the four hill districts of Manipur on July 8 to protest the Government's proposal to create the Sadar hills district out of the present Senapati district. The districts of Unkhurl, Senapati, Tamenglong and Chandel will come under the proposed bandh, a joint statement issued by four Naga organisations said here today.
