Mumbai Notes -- Hobby classes


Weekend hobby classes for children in the age group of 10-16 has been organised by Bal Bhavan at Charni Road. Training in computers, drawing and painting, music, sewing etc will be imparted to the interested children. For more details, contact Tel: 3693991/3614189. Students' passesn THE Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport undertaking has made arrangement to issue `students passes' at the bus depots near to the students' schools and colleges. Students are requested to take advantage of this new arrangement, a communication from the undertaking states.

Conference

The Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies has organised a two-day conference `New World of Business and Work-Human Resource Development' on July 7 and 8. The conference will be held at Mils Auditorium, Parel.

Drug abuse

A training programme highlighting the ill-effects of drug abuse will be inaugurated at the Sena Bhavan on July 7, 1997. The training will be imparted by Adv Sudha Churi and Dr Yusuf Merchant, president of Drug Abuse Information Rehabilitation and Research Centre. It will be inaugurated by Bal Thackeray.

Medical exams

The All India pre-medical, pre-dental entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education will be held on May 10, 1998.
