CHENNAI, July 5: The trial run of the MRTS between Chepauk and Thiru Mayilai section conducted today was successful. The condition of the track and signalling and overhead electrification were tested during the trial run of the six-car rake in which the MRTS officials travelled. This section which is expected to be examined by the Commissioner of Rail Safety (CRS) next week will be allowed to carry passenger traffic once it is cleared by the CRS.
