CHENNAI, July 5: The TN government has invited bids from consultants aroud the globe to provide ideas and a game plan to improve the city's waterways. The much-delayed tender calls for improivement of waterways covering a distance of about 85 km and the works would be taken up under a 'Chennai Waterways Rehabilitation and Reclamation Project'and would include the Cooum and Adyar rivers and the Buckingham Canal.
