CHENNAI, July 5: A mob of 50 persons arrived in vans and autorickshaws and attacked a preview theatre in Seethammal Colony in Teynampet, here today. The theatre was the venue of a meeting of about 60 film directors to discuss the formation of a union in the wake of the stand-off between members of the Film Employees federation of South India (FEFSI) and the producers. The mob was dispersed only after the intervention of the state transport minister, K Ponmudi and the City Police Transport Commissioner, V K Rajagopalan.
