THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, July 9: Life came to a stand-still in Kerala owing to the success of the state-wide 18-hour bandh obsereved today, in protest against the arrest of the CMP leader in connection with the Koothuparamba firing. KSRTC had to stop its services buses following stone-throwing incidents. While all offices, privat and government wore a deserted look, marriage parties were held without a problem as the UDF had permitted it. The UDF also conducted demonstrations in several places.
