New Delhi to host Permit Meet

NEW DELHI, July 11: The ITC-sponsored Permit Meet returns to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi after a year's gap. Last year the meet was held in Pune. The one-day meet, which will have nine events for men and seven for women, and will be held on September 16, and will see a number of world-ranked athletes in action.

The nine men's events are 100 metres, 400 metres, 1500 metres, 3000 metres, 110 metres hurdles, discus throw, long jump, shot put and javelin throw. The women's events include 100 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1500 metres, 100 metres hurdles, discus throw and high jump.

Meanwhile, the AAFI has also finalised its domestic calendar up to March 1998. This includes domestic meets, which were put off because of the Bangalore National Games.
