Mishra to launch "save Cong" campaign in Bihar

[Details] The Congress decision to bail out the Laloo Prasad Yadav government by abstaining in the vote of confidence has upset many senior members, especially those from Bihar. Jagannath Mishra, a former Bihar Chief Minister and currently affiliated to the PV Narasimha Rao camp has announced that he and three other leaders would hold a rebel convention on August 3 in Patna to "save the party in Bihar".

[Details] In April this year, Dravida Munnetra Kazagham (DMK) president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had reportedly appealed to the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) to reconsider its decision, when the latter announced that it would not join the Gujral Government but would lend outside support instead.
