COIMBATORE, July 21: The South India Small Spinners Association (SISSPA) has called upon the Union finance ministry to relax lending rates for financial institutions inorder to provide mills easy access to finance at nominal interest rates. The association representing 440 spinning mills in Coimbatore and its surrounding areas has pointed out that most of these mills use second-hand machinery and had no support from the government or banking institutions.
